CEO, General Manager
Andy Reetz brings over two decades of business and hospitality experience to Champions Run. For the past 17 years he has been the General Manager/COO of Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln, NE. Under his leadership Hillcrest has seen a steady increase in membership growth thanks to the “Family Club” experience he has created.
He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where he majored in business and was a walk on member of the Husker Football Team. Following his time at UNL he managed the newly opened Lazlo’s Brewery and Grill in Lincoln’s historic Haymarket serving both as the Kitchen and General Manager.
Andy has been married for 23 years to his lovely wife Leslie. They have four boys, Jakson, Will, Drew and Garet.
PGA Director of Golf
Greg has been a Golf Professional in the Omaha area since 1989 and a PGA member since 1992. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Greg was named the 2012 Golf Professional of the Year, has served as chairman on numerous committees and is a Past President of the Nebraska Section PGA. Greg started his first year at The Club in 2002 and has loved getting to know the membership and creating a fun and hospitable environment for all. He is enjoys playing, teaching and club fitting. Providing excellent service is the number one goal for Greg and his staff of 6 PGA professionals. They look forward to providing first class events and service to all members and their guests!
PGA Golf Professional, Merchandiser
Dawn joined Champions Run in 2002. She has been a member of the PGA since 1996, has been awarded the Nebraska Section Merchandiser of the Year award seven times and is the 2017 Bill Strausbaugh award winner. She was elected Secretary of the Nebraska Section PGA in 2017 and will rise through the ranks to be the first female President of the Section in 2022. Dawn has served the PGA of America nationally on the Member Benefits Committee and was selected one of fourteen professionals in the nation for the inaugural class of PGA LEAD, building leaders through diversity and inclusion. In addition to handling the merchandising for the Club she enjoys teaching, couples events, heading up the women’s golf activities as well as the Junior Links program, administration and instruction.
PGA Director of Golf Instruction
Mike Cornell joined Champions Run as Director of Instruction in 2012. He has been in the Nebraska Section of the PGA since 1977. Prior to joining Champions Run he was Director of Instruction at Oak Hill CC in Omaha. He is also currently Director of Golf for Back Tee Sports which does corporate golf other sporting events around the world. Mike has been 7-time teacher of the year in the Nebraska Section, named Best Teacher in the state by Golf Digest 6 times, Best Teacher in the region 3 times by Golf Magazine and the 2013 Golf Professional of the Year for the Nebraska Section PGA. He has instructed on a national level since 1985. His goal is to give the members and guests at Champions Run the opportunity, tools and skills to become a better player at all skill levels.
Assistant Golf Professional
Damon grew up in his family's golf business in Lincoln, Nebraska where he also graduated college majoring in marketing. After nine years in sales, Damon decided to change careers and follow his passion back into golf. He began his golf career as an Assistant Golf Professional at Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha in 2012 and is working towards his Class A membership of the PGA. Damon's passion for golf and previous career experience are two of the many reasons Champions Run was fortunate to bring him on board in the golf shop. Damon looks forward to working with our Ladies, Junior Links, teaching and fitting.
PGA Assistant Golf Professional
Jen is excited to return to the Champions Run golf staff for the 2018 season. She is a graduate of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, earning a B.A. in Business Administration. Jen was a 4-time individual qualifier for the NCAA Division III golf championship, and was inducted into the Wartburg Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2008. Jen began her professional career as an assistant at Champions from 1992-1995, when the course initially opened. Her experience at the Club led to a promotion within EAGL Golf, where she became Head Golf Professional/G.M. at The Knolls, while gaining her PGA membership in 1996. Transitioning within again as Director of Marketing for six golf courses in the Omaha area. Since leaving EAGL Golf, she worked from 2005-2015 at Quarry Oaks and from 2015-2017 at Shadow Ridge. Jen is married to Marty and they have a son Carson. She looks forward to helping with merchandising, Junior Links, ladies events, as well as, teaching and reconnecting with the members who were at the Club from the very beginning!
PGA Assistant Golf Professional
Josh joined Champions Run in 2017 as a PGM Intern and returns in 2018 as an Assistant Golf Professional. Prior to joining Champions Run, Josh worked as a PGM Intern at Shadow Ridge Country Club in Omaha and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, OR. In 2017, Josh was awarded the inaugural Nebraska Section PGA Scholarship awarded to top students from the PGA Golf Management program at UNL from the state of Nebraska. Josh is set to graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in August of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in PGA Golf Management with minors in business and psychology. Shortly after graduation he is set to become a PGA Member. Josh is excited to be back at Champions Run and is looking forward to getting to know the membership more.
PGA Assistant Golf Professional
We would like to welcome Brad Bailey, PGA as a new member on the professional staff in the Golf Shop (February 2019). Brad is a graduate of the PGM program at UNL and interned in the shop 4 years ago. He has been working at a private club up in Minnesota and doing some work at Old Marsh Golf Club in Florida during the Winter.
Glynace joined Champions Run in 2012, she is the former owner of Lil’ Prince and Princess and has a wealth of knowledge in the merchandising world. She keeps our shop looking smart, us laughing and is wonderful at taking care of the members and the staff. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, playing golf with friends at Oak Hills CC, while her husband Dan enjoys hunting and fishing.
Director of Agronomy
Greg Jones joined the Champions Run staff in February of 2012 after spending five years as the Director of Agronomy for Montage Hotels in Laguna Beach, California. Originally from Western Nebraska, he is happy to be back in his home state. Greg graduated from Kansas State University with a Degree in Horticulture with a specialization in Golf Course Management. He is currently a Class “A” and has been a member of the GCSAA since 1999. Greg has earned the Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) credential by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. CGCS is the most widely recognized professional designation in the golf industry and is the highest level of recognition that can be achieved. Greg is always working diligently to continually improve the conditions at Champions Run.
Golf Course Superintendent
Jess grew up on his family farm in northeast Nebraska and moved to Omaha in 2001. He joined Champions Run in 2001 and was promoted to Assistant Superintendent in 2007. He has a degree in landscape design, holds a Nebraska pesticide license and is a six year member of the GCSAA. He enjoys the opportunity of working outdoors and the variety of jobs that golf course maintenance has to offer.
Golf Services Manager
Eric Fletcher came to Champions with several years of customer service experience. He started his journey as a banquet server, moving his way to the Cardroom staff before being promoted to the Golf Services Manager in 2017. Eric's passion for Champions and the members grows everyday he comes to work through his day to day experiences in the Cardroom and around the building. He looks forward to providing excellent service while enriching the experiences of each and every member for years to come.
Benton – a Lincoln native –Hails from Lincoln's restaurant the Venue as the executive chef until from 2013 until May of 2019. He had experience in New England-area restaurants after graduating from the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, with an emphasis on leadership studies and beverage service management. Some time spent in Germany yielded him European wine certification.
Benton brings an expertise in seafood, plus new and fresh ideas – “more on the cutting edge” – of dining options.
Benton cites the support of his kitchen team members and their dedication and hard work as being “magical” in instituting his changes to the restaurant’s menu and presentation.

Jennifer began her career with Champions in 1999 and continues to assist members with their membership and events. Her love for customer service and Champions Run, coupled with her warm personality make her a natural in her role. In this position, Jennifer has had the opportunity to provide great service from the moment our members have joined through planning their most productive of meetings and their most special occasions. Director of Weddings & Banquets
Kayla joined the Champions staff in November of 2013. Originally from Lincoln, she received her Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012. Prior to joining the Champions staff Kayla worked as an Assistant Events Coordinator for a country club in Lincoln. She has a great devotion towards customer service allowing her to go above and beyond for each guest. Kayla’s love for weddings and events will always allow guests to have an unforgettable and everlasting experience.
Kris Ryan began his journey here at champions back in 2004. He started as part of our banquet staff when he was 16. Since then, he has worked multiple positions before finding his home as our clubhouse manager. Kris looks forward meeting you and enriching the experiences of our members.
Allison is very excited to be joining the Champions Run team. As a native of Papillion, Nebraska, she is happy to be returning to the Omaha area as the Service Manager at Champions Run. Allison relocated to Lincoln to attend school and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. During college, she began working at Hillcrest Country Club, taking on various roles throughout the club. Allison comes to us with more than ten years of experience in the club industry, including her most recent position as the Food and Beverage Director at Hillcrest Country Club.
Jessica came to Champions very experienced with 20 years in food and beverage and 10 years in catering and management. With this experience comes a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills. She loves to meet new members and guests while managing events at the club. With a great attitude, Jessica wants to make each and every event special at Champions Run.
Creative Director & Director of Aquatics & Fitness
Ben joined the Champions Run staff in March of 2014. In addition to directing the operations of the pool, snack bar, and fitness center, he also helps manage club activities and other duties. Ben has an extensive background in pool management, web and media design, and video production. Ben also runs the summer swim and dive teams and swim lesson programs.
Kathy Hawkins has been Director of Tennis & Head Tennis Professional at Champions Run since 1997. Kathy is a USPTA Level I certified tennis professional; in 2005, she was selected as the USPTA Nebraska Tennis Professional of the Year. From 1981 to 1986, she coached the University of Nebraska women's tennis team. In her own college days at UNL, she was a Big 8 doubles champion. Kathy is also the MRT certified owner and manager of Centre Court, Inc., and coordinates and teaches tennis programs at Miracle Hill. Her enthusiasm for tennis has proved contagious – the junior tennis program at Champions Run is one of the largest in the state!
